"In the poignant chronicle of Dungeons & Dragons, graves are not just the end of a journey, but a testament to the tale that was. Every stone, every etching, echoes the valor of those who dared to dream, to fight, to live. Remember, it is not death we honor, but the life that danced with it. A grave isn't a goodbye, it's a timeless salute to an adventurer's legacy."
In Haze we do not only allow you to take control over the lives of your characters and those around you, but also their deaths with the introduction of the Haze Burial system. The Burial system allows you to dig up holes in dedicated places and bury your loved ones, giving them a headstone with a proper eulogy or burying your enemies in an unmarked grave so they can be forgotten.
The system itself is persistent, so once you have erected a grave for someone, its there to stay!
This article will give a brief overview on how you can use the system and try to also answer some of the more common questions.
In order to dig a hole in the ground in the dedicated area, you will need one of two tools:
Just like when using these tools to dig sand/salt, it is important to note that it can take considerably long time to use a digging trowel to dig a suitable hole for a grave.
In addition the use of these tools will incur item degradation.
As the process progresses you will be given both visual and sound hints on your progress until at long last you will have your hole.
Limitations:
You are able to get a Slab of Granite and use your Chisel on it in order to commence making a headstone to use for your grave. Be advised that much like the Shovel and Digging Trowel, using the chisel for such an action will incur item degradation.
Be advised that once you went ahead with finalizing the headstone it will consume the Slab of Granite(=A building resource) and you could not make amendments to the headstone.
Limitations:
Much like digging, you will also need to use your Shovel or Digging Trowel for this activity.
You will have 3 options on how to proceed:
This is mostly used if you dont want to spend granite(Or dont have it) or simply wish to bury your nemesis inside a ditch.
Steps:
This option is used to give proper burial to your friends and leave some sort of memory of them behind.
