Ability: Charisma.
Requires Training: No.
Classes: All.
Roleplay: This skill is used primarily in roleplaying scenarios, it does have an impact on most buying/selling mechanics including player store mechanics.
In Haze: Influence is used when you attempt to persuade someone or a group of people with tact, social graces, or good nature. You can use Influence to convince someone you're acting in good faith, foster a friendship, make a cordial request, or exhibit proper etiquette. It also can be used to mediate a dispute or trade.
Similarly, Influence can be used to intimidate someone through overt threats, hostile actions, and the threat of physical violence. Influence can be used to gather information through interrogation or elicitation, convincing thugs to back down from a confrontation, or using the edge of a broken bottle to convince a sailor to reconsider a fight. It can be used as a form of trickery to achieve a social, financial, political or legal gain.
This skill combines Persuasion, Intimidate, and Bluff from original NWN.
Important Note: Influence is not Mind Control, NPCs and PCs are not obligated to react the way you want them to react when you roll a good influence roll, while most of the time it's encourages to try to Roleplay it out, you do not get to force actions on people with a high influence.
